  • Program on Socially Responsible Travel in Cambodia and Cambodia Fair-Trade Holiday Boutique

  • Friday, November 17, 2017 – Program starts at 7:00 pm – doors open at 6:00 pm for shoppers

    Shoshana Kerewsky, faculty at University of Oregon will present on her socially responsible trips in Cambodia--lots of photos!

    Bhavia Wagner, Executive Director of Friendship with Cambodia will introduce Friendship with Cambodia’s brand new Second Edition of Socially Responsible Travel Guide Cambodia and explain about Community-Based Tourism – a fun and adventuresome way to travel that:

    • visits unique archeological or environmental sites in rural areas
    • offers opportunities to meet local people and learn about village life
    • provides employment and empowerment for rural communities in a way that keeps their culture intact

    The Holiday Boutique offers beautiful fair-trade crafts include scarves, handbags, holiday ornaments, toys, and other small gifts. The craft sale will continue after the presentations.
